First Day, Last Day at Eighteen Mile Creek

Not the best weather, 23 F, but the precipitation held off until noon. Unexpected government shutdowns has led me to relocate to Detroit much sooner than expected; end of January 2019. Thus, this will be my last trip in the field in WNY for a while. Undegraduate student, Kim B., Joined me today, her first trip to the Creek, where she got the chance to take a few more samples for her work this coming spring term.

Despite my sadness in leaving the area, the great city of Buffalo, and my new friends at UB, the rocks in the Detroit area correlate to my work here… Onwards, Upwards. Westwards.
